Finding the right babysitter or nanny in Berlin can be tricky – it took us a few weeks to find the right match when we were looking last year but we did ultimately find two lovely nannies that now support us on a regular basis.
What is the difference between the two? I'm glad you ask because I was wondering the same at some point and so reached out to our partner Giulia from Extra Arms Nanny Agency to find out about the difference between a babysitter and a nanny.
Expect to pay between €15 and €35 an hour depending on the sitter’s level of experience and their tax setup.

Post a search ad on Betreut.de (we found that you have to sift through a lot of not so suitable applications but eventually we did find a great candidate there!)
If your baby is quite little still (under 3 months), you may want to contact a postpartum doula instead as they specialize in newborn (and mother) care. See our recommendations for Berlin doulas.
Good luck!
