Hello, my name is Katya (she/her),
I’m a certified Dynamic Mindfulness and Pre- & Postnatal Yoga teacher with a personal approach rooted in the Dynamic Mindfulness style.
This style combines holistic movement with Zen (Chan) Buddhist philosophy, drawing on evidence-based biomechanics to explore how our bodies move and how the nervous system processes movement.
Yoga has been a part of my life since childhood, growing from a personal practice into a way of living and sharing with others.
My teaching blends mindful, anatomy-informed movement with Buddhist meditation and includes pre- and postnatal yoga.
I love helping people find their own path to better self-understanding through body and movement awareness, nourishing a positive relationship between body and mind.
My journey into the Doula profession began with my own pregnancy and postpartum experience, where deepening my meditation practice and educating myself on the pre- and postpartum processes helped me stay present and grounded throughout this life-changing time. This awareness allowed me to navigate my own experience with ease, sparking a passion to support others through similar transitions.
Becoming a Full Spectrum Doula expanded my capacity to hold space for others, whether they are navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or other significant life shifts.
With my yoga practice at the heart of my work, I bring the same values of mindfulness, compassion, and inclusivity to my doula care.
My approach is to meet people where they are, and to create a safe, welcoming space where they feel heard, respected, and supported as they find their own strength, balance, and ease along the way.
