Meetup Host Program
Thanks so much for your interest in the Kietzee Meetup Host Program!
🐘 What is it?
A program for Kietzee Guides who would like to get involved in hosting events for our community on a volunteer basis.
Currently, we are looking for hosts for the following groups:
Expecting parents
Parents with little babies under 6 months.
The groups usually meet for a morning or afternoon (around 2-3 hours) at rotating venues across the city. They are looking to share experiences, ask questions and meet other parents and parents-to-be who are traveling on a similar timeline.
💡 How does it work?
Kietzee meetup hosts would be the main point persons at the members' meetups.
You would greet members when they arrive and make sure they feel comfortable.
You are invited to share your know-how around having a baby in Berlin as and when questions come up from the members.
We would also love it if you could take some pictures at the events (phone camera is totally fine!) that we can use on our website and social media (permissions will be handled on our end, don’t worry!).
If there are certain topics that come up at the event, you are welcome to let us know afterwards so we can send resources to the group from our blog.
☕️ How many events would you host?
We currently run events once a month for each group.
However, every three months, we host a bigger Kietzee Gathering for all groups together, which we, Kietzee, would organize and host – though you’re welcome to help if you’d like.
So the schedule would be 2 months on – 1 month off, etc.
Meetups usually take place on the weekends as it's important for us to include all caretakers / members of the family.
Kietzee will take care of the meetup scheduling (setting dates and times for the monthly meetups, finding and reserving restaurants/cafes, etc.).
We will then announce the meetups across our online channels.
We will also provide you with a table top sign you can display at the event so members can find you.
Last but not least, we have found it best to run meetups at regular intervals (for example every second Sunday of the month) but are flexible as to what that schedule looks like. The main thing is that it works for you and our members.
❤️ What’s in it for you?
This is an opportunity to interact with our members on a regular basis, learn about their needs and connect with them on a deeper level.
Please note that this is not to be seen as a marketing or sales event but a community event for the members to make connections and share knowledge.
At the same time, we know from partner feedback that their visibility on our platform has gotten them new leads and clients, and we hope the same will be true for our meetup hosts! As such, this is a volunteer position without pay. We realize we are asking for quite a commitment from you and appreciate that this may not feel right to everyone.
As we're looking to grow without external investors, our goal with this new program is to create value for both our members and partners, and we are excited to get this new concept started!
