Über 👋

Hello everyone,

my name is Nora Rabe and I work as an osteopath. Patients of all ages and genders are welcome in my practice. I treat adults, pregnant women as well as children and babies.

Since March 2020, I have been working partly employed and partly self-employed as an osteopath. The topic of health and the complex connections of the human body have fascinated me every day since then. In 2022, I completed my further education as a paediatric and infant osteopath. I particularly enjoy this work. Accompanying the little ones from the very beginning and making their start in life as easy as possible is very important to me.

Through hockey, which I played as a competitive sport for many years, I discovered my interest in the musculoskeletal system, how it works and my passion and joy in working with people.

With osteopathy, I have found a profession that deepens my interest in the musculoskeletal system, complements it with a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the body and allows me to integrate my experience from competitive sport into my therapy. This profession enables me to realize myself.

Working and feeling with my hands and being guided by the patient's body fascinate me equally about the osteopath's profession and, together with my interest in constantly learning new things, they come together wonderfully. To satisfy this nosiness, I regularly attend further education courses.

I offer treatment for babies, children and adults including pregnancy people.

Your Osteopathic treatment lasts around 50-60 minutes and begins with an anamnesis, followed by an examination and the treatment. The last two aspects often merge seamlessly into one another. Follow-up treatments for babies and children take around 40 minutes.

The cost of an osteopathic treatment is €85*. For babies and infants, the follow-up treatments with me is only €65.

Here are some possible complaints and symptoms for which you could visit me in my osteopathic practice:

Infants:

  • Preferential/Favorite side, KISS syndrome

  • Adjustment disorders after birth

  • Breastfeeding problems

  • Long and complicated births

  • Caesarean section

  • Spitting-up babies, digestive problems, colic

Children/adolescents:

  • Complaints after accidents and falls

  • Headaches

  • Menstrual problems

  • Growth disorders of the spine

  • Misaligned teeth or orthodontic complaints

Women before, during or after pregnancy:

  • Menstrual problems

  • Pregnancy complaints such as back pain, sciatica

  • Prenatal techniques for birth preparation (from around 2 weeks before your due date)

  • Complaints after the birth

Adults:

  • Back pain

  • Headaches, migraines

  • Digestive problems

  • Temporomandibular joint problems

  • Conditions following falls or accidents, e.g. whiplash injuries

Depending on the type of symptoms (acute/chronic), the interval until the next appointment may vary. As a rule, the body needs 2-3 weeks to adjust to the new situation. However, every body reacts differently, so the next appointment is always arranged individually. The intervals can also be shorter, especially for babies.

*For those with private or supplementary insurance, the bill is broken down according to the fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH). The costs can therefore vary slightly and amount to approx. 85 €*.

The bill has to be paid by Girocard immediately after completion of the respective treatment.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please cancel it 24 hours in advance. If you do not appear for an agreed appointment, I hope you understand that I will nevertheless have to charge you for the appointment.

Kostenübernahme

Viele der Leistungen unserer Guides werden von der Versicherung übernommen. Bitte erkundige Dich bei Deiner Versicherung, ob sie die jeweilige Leistung übernehmen.

Osteopathy is a self-pay service.

However, numerous statutory health insurers (GKV) now contribute to the costs. The prerequisite for this is that the therapist has completed an established education. I am a full member of the Berufsverband Osteopathie e.V. (professionell organisation for osteopathy) and therefore listed as an osteopath at over 100 health insurance companies.

In addition, my education comprised 2844 practical hours, so that I fulfill the health insurance companies' requirement of 1350 hours.

Most health insurance companies require a private prescription (Privatrezept) from a doctor in order to subsidise osteopathy. Please find out in advance what exact requirements your health insurance company has. You can find an overview on the website of the Berufsverband Osteopathie.

Private health insurance companies (PKV) or supplementary insurances also contribute partially or even completely to the costs, depending on the selected tariff. Please find out about the exact requirements of your health insurance company and your tariff in advance.
